Pakistan government announced that country's standard time will be moved ahead of time by a hour on 15th April 2009. So instead of 12:00 am clock would show 1:00am on 15th April.
This move is a standard procedure for some countries to save enery and utilize day light as much as they can. However unlike others this transition is not so smooth in Pakistan.
People are still bemused because time change has not rippled every where. Like flight timing on Pakistan International Airline (PIA) is still according to old times. One needs to confirm the timings through other sources which is not very convenient.
More over PIA website could not even display a single message on home page that what's going to be the effect on flight times for domestic and international travel.
I'm assuming that all flights schedule will move ahead by an hour, so flight at 9:00am will now fly at 10:00am. This seems fine for international travel but for domestic travel this will upset the schedule so need to confirm this.
